Columbus and the surrounding area has several parks, museums, historical sites, live and Simulcast horse racing, hiking/biking trails, fishing, golfing, skating, swimming, bowling, stock car racing, musical events, county fairs, and other fun events throughout the year.

Pawnee Park, the “Picnic Capital of Nebraska” includes Pawnee Plunge, a water park which opened in 2006. In 2015 Pawnee Plunge Water Park added Nebraska’s first FlowRider. The FlowRider is a single surf simulator. The $3.36 million dollar 2015 expansion also included a new lap pool, diving area and climbing wall.

Pawnee Park is also the home of Memorial Stadium featuring a new track and artificial turf field. Our community has 3 local high schools with impressive indoor/outdoor amenities. Central Community College is home of the Raiders sport teams.
